How does the fundraiser work?

The way the project works is we will be waiving our regular $200 portrait sitting fee and instead asking parent/guardian to make a $100 donation to KGH for every child that appears in the book.

Where is the money going from this fundraiser?

All the funds raised from this project will be going to the Children’s and neo natal ward of the Kelowna General Hospital..

When does this project start and how long does it run for?

This project has officially started as of Jan 15th and will run all spring and summer long so that we can take advantage of the best weather for shooting. We encourage parents who are interested to contact us as soon as possible to reserve their page in the book and to book their shoot as space is limited.

When will the book be released?

The book release date is set for December, 2009.

Where will the photos be taken?

In order to showcase the beautiful Okanagan the images will be taken on location throughout the area. Initial location(s) will be decided during the pre-consultation.

Do I have to do the pre-consultation?

Yes. The pre-consultation allows us to get to know the child’s likes and dislikes as well as locations that they love to visit and/or outdoor activities they enjoy doing. It is also an opportunity to ask questions and talk a bit about what NOT to wear, etc.

Special allowances will be made to families who do not necessarily live in the Okanagan but would like to be a part of this great fundraiser and will be review on a case to case basis.

How many children can I have in the book?

There is no limit to how many of your children, grand children, etc. can be in the book. The only stipulation is that there is a $100 donation made for each child that is presented in the book.

How many children appear on each page?

There will be ONE child per page for this particular book. We feel that in order to capture the truest essence and uniqueness of each child they should have the whole page for themselves.

Is there an age limit?

The age limit is 17 and under.

Can I choose the photo of my child that will be in the book?

Absolutely! After the photo session has taken place we will set up a viewing session where all the images that were taken of your kid(s) will be on display for you to look over and select from.

Can I purchase images from the photo session?

Yes. We would be happy to help you select additional images for your family and friends. We offer a wide variety of printing and mounting options for you to choose from.

How much will the book cost?

This beautiful glossy page 11×13 hard cover coffee table with dust cover will be available for purchase at $139.00 per copy.

Can we do family photos as well?

Although the images taken for the book will be of individual children, family portraits can be taken if arranged during the pre-consultation. These family images will not be published in the book and are for your personal enjoyment only. The focus of the shoots will be on the individual children and all group shots will be done at the end so that we can

How many children will be in the book? Is space limited?

Yes, there will be a minimum of 100 children with a maximum of 250.
