Last weekend we held the Dog Days of Summer event and we not only raised hundreds of dollars for the SPCA but we also had a lot of fun doing it! We photographed lots of dogs and their owners and the weather was perfect. We want to thanks everyone who had portraits taken of their pets to support our fundraiser for the Kelowna SPCA. Here are some images from the sessions.

Family Portraits with Candace and Jon – Aviva Studios Kelowna Wedding and Portrait Photography

Here are some photos of a recent family session I did with Candace, Jon and their two beautiful children. The weather threatened rain the whole time but it turned out to be perfect. The photos were done in their back yard which is great and that always makes things easy for everyone. I think they turned out great and I look forward to showing them all of the images from the shoot.

The Roberts’ Family – Aviva Studios – Kelowna Wedding and Portrait Photography

I got the chance to photograph the Roberts’ family last weekend. It was great to see them again and to see how their adorable boys are changing and growing! (the best part of what I do!)

Furneaux Family Portrait – Aviva Studios Kelowna Portrait and Wedding Photography

I had the pleasure of photographing the Furneaux family last week. They chose a natural setting which I love so we used a field of long grass and trails in Lake Country over looking Lake Okanagan. It was perfect and everyone was so easy to photograph. I love portrait sessions like these!!!

I love doing a ‘photobooth’ at weddings. Unlike the traditional ‘booth’ I like to set up a backdrop and a light and take the photos myself. I like being able to interact with people and help them loosen up a little 
I’m always surprised at how much people get into it and have fun with it. It’s a barrel of laughs!!!

Congratulations Matthew and Jennifer!!! – AVIVA STUDIOS KELOWNA WEDDING AND PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY

I always get behind on my blogging during wedding season with wedding photography and portrait photography being so crazy but I know that is a lame excuse so I will try and be better!
This latest wedding is of Matthew and Jennifer – an adorable couple from Alberta who wanted to enjoy the beautiful Okanagan scenery and sunshine for their wedding and I have to say the day was perfect! There was a bit of cloud cover and a few drops of rain – just enough to keep everyone cool and provide me with some great light!!! Matthew and Jennifer and all of their guests had a great time and I enjoyed capturing some images of them. Enjoy!
