I am really excited that the Aviva Diva’s are back! Last year’s event was a sold out success and this year is planned to be even more fabulous.
Aviva Diva’s Return is hosted by Manteo Resort Waterfront Hotel & Villas. We couldn’t ask for a more beautiful location! Each woman will have a private pampering session getting their glam hair and makeup done by Aura Beauty before their private Diva photo shoot!
$50 from each session will be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and we have wonderful gift bags full of great prizes from local businesses!
With only 10 spots available spaces are filling up!

The summer is quickly coming to an end and I can’t believe it! I have been crazy busy with portraits and wedding photos and it has literally flown by. I guess that what happens when you are having fun! And I do love to photograph weddings and portraits here in Kelowna
This is the Bowman Family. I wanted to share some of these as I had a blast with these kids and their adorable puppy and it is one of my favorite locations. I just love the Okanagan!!

Moms and Daughters Portrait Session For “Children of the Okanagan”- Aviva Studios – Wedding and Portrait photography

I had the most amazing shoot with this three ladies. We did their portrait session at Lake Okanagan in OK Center (I love that little community – what a gem) at sunset and got some great shots of the three of them. This one was my favorite from the session of the three of them together. What fun!!

As promised I am making a big effort at blogging my “Children of the Okanagan” sessions. Just a little sneak peak at each one…
This session was a lot of fun and as you can see, happened a few months ago during the cherry blossoms (I LOVE that time of year!) This is Jakob and Jay – two adorable brothers who truly enjoy one another’s company. They were a pleasure to photograph and we did their session at their aunt’s orchard. What a perfect setting!

More Children of the Okanagan! – Aviva Studios Kelowna Wedding and Portrait Photographer

Wow – the summer is just flying by and it hasn’t even really arrived! (is that even possible?!?!)
I’ve been shooting like a mad woman for my book Children of the Okanagan and having a lot of fun doing it. All of the Children are fabulous and I’ve been seeing some beautiful locations – some old some new to me. Children’s portraits are my favorite thing to do so I’m in my glory! I still have lots of spaces left in the book so if you are thinking of taking part or know someone who might be interested be sure to give me a ring or send an email. I’d love to hear from you.
Again – just in case you don’t know – Children of the Okanagan is a beautiful coffee table book filled with Children’s photos to raise money for the KGH Foundation. Five years ago my beautiful and amazing little girl was born and needed neo natal care. That experience has forever changed me and since then it has been my passion to give back to this amazing cause.
Children of the Okanagan 2009 was an amazing success raising over $21,000 and I hope to match that in 2011.
For anyone who would like to be a part of this project, I am waiving my regular sitting fee of $200 and asking people to make a $100 donation for each child that you want to have appear in the book. This donation will go directly to the Kelowna General Hospital in support of child care here in the Okanagan.
The book will be for sale for $139.00 each and available in time for Christmas. Partial proceeds from book and print sales will also be donated to the Kelowna General Hospital.

Children of the Okanagan – more portrait sessions from Aviva Studios – Kelowna Wedding and Portrait photography

Portrait sessions for my book “Children of the Okanagan” are in full force right now and I’m having a blast! The kids and families are so great and I’m doing what I love! Does it get any better than this? I think not
All the portrait sessions are taking place throughout the Okanagan and mainly Kelowna. This is another one from Cherry blossom season. I just love that time of year!
This is an image from the Bonn Family’s session. Of course this isn’t a book shot as I’m only putting one child per page but this is such a cute shot from the shoot I had to share it!
