I had the pleasure of photographing the Furneaux family last week. They chose a natural setting which I love so we used a field of long grass and trails in Lake Country over looking Lake Okanagan. It was perfect and everyone was so easy to photograph. I love portrait sessions like these!!!

Fun photos – AVIVA STUDIOS KELOWNA WEDDING AND PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY

I love doing a ‘photobooth’ at weddings. Unlike the traditional ‘booth’ I like to set up a backdrop and a light and take the photos myself. I like being able to interact with people and help them loosen up a little 
I’m always surprised at how much people get into it and have fun with it. It’s a barrel of laughs!!!

Congratulations Matthew and Jennifer!!! – AVIVA STUDIOS KELOWNA WEDDING AND PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY

I always get behind on my blogging during wedding season with wedding photography and portrait photography being so crazy but I know that is a lame excuse so I will try and be better!
This latest wedding is of Matthew and Jennifer – an adorable couple from Alberta who wanted to enjoy the beautiful Okanagan scenery and sunshine for their wedding and I have to say the day was perfect! There was a bit of cloud cover and a few drops of rain – just enough to keep everyone cool and provide me with some great light!!! Matthew and Jennifer and all of their guests had a great time and I enjoyed capturing some images of them. Enjoy!

With the announcement of our new name and with Dog Days of Summer approaching I thought it was a great time to get the word out about our new Facebook Fan Page and to give you all a chance to win some free stuff!
I will be giving away two family portrait sessions with an 8×10 print (valued at $260 each). All you have to do is go to my facebook fanpage and become a fan. Then, tell your friends to do the same and make sure they say it was YOU that sent them!
The person who sends the most people to my page who become fans will win a session. The second session will be given away in a random draw to one of my facebook fans.

I first met the Baxter-Oland Family while doing “Children of the Okanagan”. Both James and Jocelyn (totally adorable) were part of the project as well as their cousins. I love being able to photograph families each year. I get to see how children change and grow and I love that!

The Okanagan is the perfect place for weddings – beautiful scenery, wineries, vineyards, lakes, endless sunshine… right? Well, not always, but the Okanagan is an amazing place, even if the weather fails every once in a while!
Neil and Shannon’s wedding was a beautiful event, held in Osoyoos and even though the weather wasn’t perfect it didn’t dampen their spirits one bit. Neil and Shannon both looked stunning and their wedding was absolutely perfect. Thanks guys for having me there!

Perrett Family Portraits – Aviva Studios Kelowna Wedding and Portrait Photography

Meet the Perrett Family – these kids are absolutely adorable and a blast to photograph. David and Ian were both in “Children of the Okanagan”. They have both grown a lot – especially Ian who was only 2 months old at the time! I love being able to photograph children as they grow and seeing how they change. It’s one of the things I love about what I do! I am very fortunate in deed…
